The Compact Commercial is a commercial-grade soft serve machine that’s popular with concession stands and rental companies. Just pour in your favorite soft serve mix (ice cream, yogurt, gelato, custard, sorbet) and the machine will turn it into a tasty frozen product. The freeze time varies depending on room temperature and sugar content, but is typically less than 20 minutes per batch. This machine plugs in to a standard 120-volt power outlet.

We operate a food truck and wanted to add soft serve ice cream to our menu, but don’t have a lot of counter space. We searched and searched until we found this commercial-grade machine which is only 9 inches wide. The machine is really easy to operate and clean and seems to be built pretty well. It holds about 7 quarts of mix and we get about 50 1/2-cup servings of Dole Whip out of a single batch. We’re selling a LOT of soft serve, so this was definitely a good purchase. The user manual states that the machine will also make frozen yogurt and frozen slush, but we haven’t tried those yet.
This is our second Polar Swirl machine. We bought this new version for our outdoor kitchen because it makes slush drinks as well as soft serve. You get product about 20 minutes after you fill and start the machine. The kids (and adults) really enjoy making their own sundaes. The English in the user manual is not that great, but the machine itself is easy to operate. Clean up is also a cinch—just flush the machine with Stera-Sheen sanitizer and throw all the removable parts in the top rack of the dishwasher. Very happy with our new Polar Swirl! Looking forward to a summer of frozen drinks and ice cream!
